The Minden Lions Club’s Fall Chicken Charbroil was another sellout event Saturday, September 27, as community members lined up at the Walmart parking lot for the popular fundraiser.
Grills fired up and the $10 half chicken dinners were gone by noon, consistent with the quick sellouts the club has come to expect.
All proceeds will benefit local Lions Club projects, which include vision screenings, providing eyeglasses, and supporting youth and community initiatives. The Minden Lions Club celebrated its 100th year of service this month.
The chicken charbroil is one of the club’s longest-running fundraisers, held twice a year and known for drawing strong community support.
