Barksdale Federal Credit Union held a free Shred Day on September 27 at its Minden location, 105 Richard’s Way.
A large shredding truck from On-site Secure Shredding was set up on site, with staff members on hand to help residents safely dispose of personal and confidential documents. The event provided the community with an opportunity to protect against identity theft by securely destroying sensitive paperwork.
Barksdale Federal Credit Union hosts Shred Day events on a regular basis. Organizers said those who missed the September 27 date will have another chance to take part at a future event.
