A Minden woman was arrested October 25 after police said she crossed into an active crime scene while officers were investigating a shots fired incident at the intersection of Martin Luther King Drive and South Gum Street.
According to police, 24-year-old Shimetria Hill, who resides on Tillman Drive, ignored several loud verbal commands to stay behind the bright yellow tape marked “Crime Scene Do Not Cross.”
Hill was taken into custody after refusing to comply and later transported to Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center when she was unable to post bond.
She was charged with interfering with a law enforcement investigation. Bond was set at $750 surety.
All subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
