SIBLEY, LA – The South Webster Industrial District’s Sibley Business Site has officially been designated as a Louisiana Economic Development (LED) Certified Business Site, marking it as development-ready and primed for investment opportunities.
The LED Certified Sites Program identifies Louisiana sites that have completed a rigorous review and verification process, ensuring that prospective companies have access to key information such as ownership, zoning, environmental conditions, and infrastructure availability. Certification helps reduce risk and speed up the site selection process for expanding or relocating businesses.
With this certification, the Sibley Business Site is now recognized as ready for immediate development, positioning it to attract new employers and industrial growth to Webster Parish. The site’s strategic location, along with available infrastructure and community support, makes it a strong candidate for future investment opportunities.
“This certification signals to site selectors and prospective employers that Webster Parish is serious about growth,” said Justyn Dixon, President and CEO of North Louisiana Economic Partnership. “Certified sites strengthen the entire region’s competitiveness by giving companies confidence that they can move quickly. We’re excited to partner with the South Webster Industrial District as this site becomes a catalyst for new jobs and investment.”
“This certification is a major milestone for our industrial park, placing us among a select group of development-ready sites across Louisiana,” said Hunt Powell, President of the South Webster Industrial District. “With 16 acres still available, we’re hopeful this designation will help us attract an anchor tenant that brings quality jobs and new opportunities to the people of South Webster Parish. Our board extends sincere thanks to North Louisiana Economic Partnership and Louisiana Economic Development for their guidance and support throughout this process, and we look forward to continued collaboration in the future.”
“Certified Sites are one of the most effective tools we have to strengthen Louisiana’s competitiveness, and we are proud to add this as our 163rd Certified Site,” LED Chief Economic Competitiveness Officer Ileana Ledet said. “Every certified site—from Webster to Washington Parish—gives businesses the confidence to invest here by reducing time, risk, and cost. Expanding this network across every region ensures companies can move faster from concept to construction and keeps Louisiana at the forefront of business-ready development.”
“This is an ideal location for an end user looking to put down roots in Webster Parish,” said Jim Bonsall, President of the Webster Parish Police Jury. “The site’s versatility means a manufacturer can truly build to suit, and now with this certification in place, we’re even better positioned to attract the kind of investment that fuels long-term growth for our community.”.
The certification strengthens North Louisiana’s growing portfolio of development-ready industrial sites and demonstrates the region’s proactive approach to supporting future employers.
