The annual “Civitan Santa” Christmas Toy Program, organized by the Minden Civitan Club and the Young Woman’s Service Club, is underway, bringing a seasonal push to gather toys for children in the Minden and South Webster Parish area.
The program invites residents to help brighten the holidays for local families by donating new toys or contributing funds to support the effort. Members of the Minden Police Department and the Webster Parish Sheriff’s Office will deliver the toys just before Christmas.
New toys may be dropped off at the Minden Police Department or given to any Civitan member. Cash donations may be mailed to the Minden Civitan Club, P.O. Box 95, Minden, LA 71058, and several area businesses will host additional toy drop boxes.
Application forms for assistance are available at the Minden Police Department and the Webster Community Action offices. Applications will be accepted for children through age 13. To ensure timely delivery, forms must be submitted by December 15.
