All-Star state champs continue to raise funds

Fundraising continues for the AA Minden Continentals trip to the AA Dixie World Series in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina next month.

The pitching machine All-Stars traveled to Vidalia for the state tournament earlier in July, bringing home the city of Minden’s first ever Dixie state championship.

Over the weekend, the team took to the streets collecting more than $1,200 at the intersection of Main Street and Homer Road to help cover travel expenses.

A rummage and bake sale to raise money is scheduled to kick off at 8 a.m. and last until noon, Saturday, July 25 at The Farm.
