Spencer Pipes, a bus driver for North Webster High School, was recognized as Employee of the Month during the Webster Parish School Board meeting on November 10.
The award was presented by Kevin Thompson of Taylor and Sons in recognition of Pipes’ reliability and willingness to assist with transportation needs across the district.
According to a nomination letter submitted on Pipes’ behalf, “Spencer is a reliable bus driver who is always willing to help. If a bus driver is out he always helps coordinate routes so the students always get to their destinations. Spencer is always willing to drive to sporting events, field trips, and any other school trips for our students.”
School officials said Pipes’ efforts help ensure students arrive safely and on time, even when staffing challenges arise.
The Webster Parish School Board typically meets on the first Monday of each month at the school board offices.
