The Minden girls and boys teams are headed to the Division III playoffs for the fourth straight season.

The regular season officially ended Monday and first-round pairings were announced by the LHSAA Tuesday.

The No. 18 seed Lady Tiders (10-9-2) visit No. 15 Leesville (11-7) in the first round. The No. 28 Crimson Tide (6-7-1) travel to LaPlace to take on No. 5 St. Charles (14-4-3).

The Minden teams weren’t able to play games last week due to the winter weather and cancellation of school. The Lady Tiders closed the regular season Monday with a 1-0 loss to Northwood. The Crimson Tide fell to District 1-III champion Loyola 8-0.

The Minden girls finished runner-up to Sterlington in District 1-III. The Lady Tiders rolled past Franklin Parish 8-0, Wossman 5-0 and Bossier 4-0 in district play before falling to Sterlington 1-0 in a game that decided the title.

Neither Minden team has won a playoff game but they have come close. The Lady Tiders lost to David Thibodaux 2-0 in the first round of Division III last year. The fell to Terrebonne 2-1 in a Division II first-round game in 2024 and Archbishop Chapelle 1-0 in 2023.

The Crimson Tide fell to Parkview Baptist 2-0 in the first round of Division III last year.
