The Minden Crimson Tide closed the regular season with a 43-38 victory over the Benton Tigers Wednesday night at Minden.
Minden improved to 15-8. Going into the game the Tide were No. 16 in the non-select Division II power rankings. The Nos. 5-16 teams in the final rankings host first-round playoff games. The LHSAA will announce official pairings Monday.
After scoring just 10 points in the first half, Minden outscored Benton 16-7 in the third quarter, cutting the Tigers’ 11-point halftime lead to two. Minden then outscored Benton 17-10 in the fourth.
Cameron Parker led the Tide with 13 points. Markavius Johnson added nine and Abreon Curry eight.
Kam Smith and Idrick Ferguson led Benton (14-13) with 11 and 10 points, respectively.
