Pro football: Titans releasing former Minden star Sneed, per media reports

by Russell Hedges

The Tennessee Titans are releasing former Minden and Louisiana Tech star L’Jarius Sneed, according to multiple media reports.

The Titans signed the 29-year-old cornerback to a four-year, $76 million deal in 2024. That followed a trade with the Kansas City Chiefs, the team Sneed helped win two Super Bowls in his first four years in the league.

Because of injuries, Sneed played only 12 games in two seasons with the Titans. He started the first seven games last season and had 18 solo tackles, eight assists and three passes defended.

Sneed suffered a quad injury in Week 7 and was placed on injured reserve, missing the final 10 games.

Sneed is now a free agent. According to analyst Emmanuel Acho of the Pro Football & Sports Network, the five teams most likely to be interested in Sneed are the Chiefs, Dallas Cowboys, Buffalo Bills, New York Giants and Los Angeles Chargers.

Sneed hosted a youth camp at Minden last summer for the third straight year.
