The Minden Crimson Tide’s 2026 season came to an end Saturday.

Minden, the No. 8 seed, was swept by No. 9 Iota 8-1 and 8-4 at Griffith Saturday. The Bulldogs won the best-of-3 series in the second round of the non-select Division II playoffs two games to one. The Tide won Game 1 5-4 Friday.

Minden closed its season 23-13. Iota improved to 20-10.

The Tide weren’t able to get much going offensively in Saturday’s first game. They got just four hits off Kaylor Broussard, who struck out seven and walked one. Minden also hurt itself with six errors.

Landon Brewer went 2-for-3 with a double. Jaxon Smith and Keegan Pope had one single each.

Smith went the distance on the mound. He allowed eight hits, struck out three and walked three.

Minden led the second game 1-0 through four innings. But Iota scored seven in the fifth on four singles, one double, three walks and one hit-by-pitch. Four of the runs came with two outs.

The Tide scored two in the sixth on a single by Dakota Streetman and a steal of home by Pope.

Brewer doubled with one out in the seventh but the Bulldogs ended the game with a double play.

Pope went 2-for-3. Hudson Brown went 2-for-3 with an RBI.
