Former Glenbrook star Maddox Mandino, a junior outfielder for the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns, was named to the Sun Belt Tournament All-Tournament Team Sunday in Montgomery, Ala.
Louisiana, the No. 7 seed, fell to No. 1 Southern Miss 11-7 in the championship game.
In the five games leading up to the title game, Mandino went 11-for-19 with two doubles.
He made contact in all five of his at-bats in the championship game but was unable to get a hit.
Louisiana (39-23) is projected to receive a bid to the Division I NVAA Tournament when regional pairings are announced Monday. Southern Miss (44-15) was named one of 16 regional hosts Sunday.
