The 2026 Minden Charity Classic brought golfers from across the region to Pine Hills Country Club May 30-31 for one of the Minden Foundation’s largest annual fundraisers, generating support for local families facing financial hardships caused by disasters, illness, and other emergencies.
The tournament, which sold out well before the event, featured competition across six flights and was part of a weekend that also included the Foundation’s Dinner & Auction and the sold-out Birdies, Bubbles, and Bingo fundraiser.
In the tournament’s top division, Brian Grubbs and Trent Ellis claimed the Championship Flight title with a two-day total gross score of 122, finishing 20 strokes under par. Vining and Gould finished second at 124, while Griffith and Blount placed third with a score of 126.

The Classic Flight championship went to Randle and Randle, who posted a 123 total gross score, 19 strokes under par. Harper and Founds finished second at 129, while Chapman and Fox tied Pendergrass and Garmon for third place at 131.

Cupples and Harris won the 1st Flight with a two-round score of 136. Botzong and Owens finished second at 137, followed by Ogwyn and McCartney at 138.
Huddleston and Becnal captured the 2nd Flight title after shooting a 140 total. Schoonover and Fussell finished one stroke back at 141, while Kumar and Dumas placed third at 145.

The Minden Foundation uses proceeds from the Charity Classic and other fundraising events to provide charitable assistance to individuals and families in the Minden area. The organization assists residents affected by circumstances such as house fires, flooding, and serious illnesses that create financial hardships.
Founded as a nonprofit organization, the Minden Foundation distributes aid through an application process and relies on recommendations from community leaders, educators, ministers, and social workers to identify families in need.
