The Minden Tennis and Aquatic Club (MTAC) continued its strong summer season Monday night at Week 3 in Eastridge, highlighted by standout performances, relay success, and an impressive number of personal-best swims. While East Ridge claimed the overall team victory with 919 points, MTAC earned 575 points with swimmers delivering standout performances across every age group, highlighted by dominant efforts from several veteran competitors and major breakthroughs from the club’s youngest swimmers.

Age Group Highlights
6 & Under
Savannah Gary scored points in both freestyle and backstroke, while Reese Waller earned top-three finishes in the girls freestyle and backstroke events. GW Rowton delivered a strong third-place finish in the boys freestyle race and posted a personal-best time. Among MTAC’s youngest swimmers, Josh Allen competed in both freestyle and backstroke events and contributed to the club’s 6 & Under relay effort.
8 & Under
Posey Belle Boyd highlighted the group with scoring finishes in backstroke and breaststroke, while Madeline Fussell scored in freestyle and breaststroke and helped MTAC finish second in the girls medley relay. Cash Smith led the boys with third-place finishes in backstroke and breaststroke, and Owen Humphrey added points in breaststroke and relay competition. Bennett Brown earned points in backstroke and posted a personal-best freestyle swim. Larkyn James contributed points in the IM and freestyle while helping two relay teams score. Titus Waller, Reece Snider, Sutton Perryman, and newcomer Levi Williams continued gaining valuable experience while contributing to MTAC’s relay efforts.
9-10
Vivienne Fussell continued to lead the age group with a runner-up finish in the 25-meter freestyle and strong performances in butterfly, freestyle, and relay events. Stella Perryman scored across four events, while Brooks Boyd delivered one of the night’s strongest performances with two victories and a runner-up finish. Bronx Ulich scored in three individual events and helped the boys relay team place third. Emily Burson, Dawson Gish, Reece Coburn, and Trip Williams also contributed important points and relay swims for MTAC.
11-12
Nella Snider recorded a runner-up finish in the 100-meter freestyle and contributed to relay efforts. GiGi Barton earned second place in backstroke and scored across multiple events, while Genevieve Dennin added points in three individual races and both relays. Corbin Toland led the division with two victories, Christian Lemoine scored in four events, and Louie Kourvelas contributed points individually and in relay competition.
13-14 Girls
The quartet of Lexi Barnett, Emma Kratzer, Mackenzie Snider, and Ella Stahl dominated the division. The group swept both relay events and accounted for multiple individual victories and podium finishes. Maddox Snider, Dane Weaver, Sawyer Burson, and Grant Dennin combined to win the freestyle relay while piling up points throughout the meet. Snider’s three individual victories highlighted one of the strongest performances of the evening.
15-18 Division
Sawyer Pitman and Grace Dennin were nearly unbeatable, combining for five individual victories. Camden Grubbs added valuable points, and the mixed medley relay team capped the evening with another MTAC relay win.
Time Droppers of the Week
One of the most encouraging signs for MTAC was the number of swimmers posting personal-best times.
Posey Belle Boyd dropped an incredible 11.42 seconds in the 25-meter breaststroke.
Madeline Fussell lowered her breaststroke time by 6.96 seconds.
GiGi Barton shaved 5.31 seconds off her 50-meter backstroke.
Vivienne Fussell cut 5.23 seconds from her 50-meter freestyle.
Sawyer Pitman improved by 4.64 seconds in the 100-meter freestyle.
Christian Lemoine dropped 4.44 seconds in the 50-meter butterfly.
ViviAnn Rainey improved by 4.29 seconds in the 25-meter breaststroke.
Cash Smith cut 3.70 seconds in the 25-meter breaststroke.
Razze Waller lowered her backstroke time by 3.53 seconds.
Sawyer Burson dropped 3.37 seconds in the 50-meter backstroke.

With swimmers continuing to drop time, improve technique, and gain confidence, MTAC heads into the middle of the season with plenty of momentum and excitement for the weeks ahead.
