Message from Mayor Nick Cox
Our electric line crew located the problem and safely restored power to the city. While they were focused on restoring service, the storm created additional challenges across Minden, including downed trees and limbs that required attention throughout the night.
This was truly a team effort. In addition to our electric department, our police officers, firefighters, public works crews, city administration, and members of the City Council all responded to help keep our community safe and support the restoration effort. I also want to thank Entergy for their assistance, which allowed our crews to safely complete the repairs.
Most importantly, I want to thank the citizens of Minden for your patience and understanding. We know a citywide outage is disruptive, and we appreciate the cooperation shown by our community while our teams worked to restore power and respond to the additional storm damage.
Thank you to everyone who worked together to get Minden safely back up and running.
