The Minden Police Association will host its annual banquet on Saturday, August 15, at the Minden Civic Center, bringing together law enforcement officers, local businesses, and community members for an evening of food, fellowship, and fundraising.
Doors will open at 5:30 PM, with the banquet beginning at 6 PM. The event will feature dinner, a live auction, raffles, and a split-the-pot drawing, with proceeds supporting the association’s community outreach efforts, officer support programs, and scholarship opportunities for graduating high school seniors.
The banquet is presented by Ace Hardware and Toms Wrecker Service, which are serving as this year’s title sponsors.
The association has continued to seek business and individual sponsorships leading up to the banquet. Organizers said sponsorships not only help make the annual event possible, but also allow the association to expand its community programs. Businesses may also contribute raffle items if they prefer not to become sponsors.
“This is a great way to showcase your business and show your support for local law enforcement,” the association said in a Facebook post. “It also allows us to continue our community outreach and officer support as well as scholarship opportunities for graduating seniors.”
Among the businesses and individuals already announced as sponsors are Ace Hardware, Toms Wrecker Service, B1 Bank, The Shine Shop, Perryman Welding, MK Hauling, and Sen. Adam Bass. The Shine Shop was named this year’s Blue Carpet Sponsor.
Organizers also are promoting a split-the-pot drawing in conjunction with the banquet. Tickets are $5 each, and participants do not have to be present to win.
