The Village of Dixie Inn Board of Aldermen will hold a regular meeting at 5 PM Tuesday, Aug. 11, at Village Hall, 60 Shell Street, including a public hearing on proposed regulations for alcohol beverage cards.

The council will temporarily close its regular session and open a public hearing on Ordinance No. 137, which concerns alcohol beverage cards, also referred to as ABO cards. The public will have an opportunity to comment before the hearing is closed and the regular meeting resumes.

The council is scheduled to consider approval of Ordinance No. 137 following the public hearing.

Other new business includes consideration of a mosquito control service from VDCI at a proposed cost of $500 per application on a biweekly basis.

During the mayor’s report, Mayor Donna Hoffoss is expected to seek input and assistance with planning for this year’s Christmas on the Bayou celebration and begin planning for Halloween.

Department reports will be presented by the water and maintenance department, police department, aldermen, and mayor.

The meeting and public hearing are open to the public.
