Springhill — As Citizens About Progress (CAP) prepares to mark six years of service in our community, we are reminded that the heart of Webster Parish has always been its people. From providing academic tutoring and leadership development for our grade school youth to creating safe, supportive spaces at the CAP Outreach Building, our mission has always been driven by a simple truth: real change happens when a community stands together.
On September 26, 2026, we will host our 6th Anniversary Hometown Showdown Gala, a night dedicated not just to reflecting on how far we have come, but to shining a spotlight on the unsung heroes who make Webster Parish a better place every day.
Every neighborhood has those quiet champions—the dedicated mentors, local volunteers, tireless educators, and selfless neighbors who serve without asking for recognition or applause. They are the backbone of our towns, working behind the scenes to lift up our youth, support families in need, and strengthen the fabric of our region. This event is our way of saying thank you and ensuring their dedication does not go unnoticed.
