Minden Mayor Nick Cox has been installed as a District A vice president on the Louisiana Municipal Association’s Executive Board for the 2026-2027 term.
Cox was among 10 district vice presidents installed Thursday during the LMA’s 89th Annual Convention in Monroe. The district vice presidents represent regional interests on the board.
The LMA represents 306 Louisiana municipalities and two parishes and serves as a collective voice for local governments through advocacy, education, and empowerment.
Mayor Darnell Waites of Baker was installed as LMA president, succeeding Mayor Ray Bourque of Broussard. Mayor Staci Albritton Mitchell of West Monroe was installed as first vice president, and Mayor David Toups of Addis was installed as second vice president.
Cox’s appointment places a Minden representative in a statewide leadership role with an organization focused on issues affecting Louisiana’s municipalities.
