Guest speaker for the Thursday, Sept. 24 meeting of the Minden Lions Club will be Kathy French, director of marketing and sales for the Caddo-Bossier Parishes Port Commission.
Kathy manages marketing efforts for the Port Commission’s 5,000-acre multimodal industrial and commerce center. She leverages a diverse operational background, having held key positions including engineering supervisor at General Motors, production supervisor/industrial engineer at UPS, market research project manager for U.L. Coleman Companies, and community relations director at Community Renewal International.
A Louisiana Tech University alumna, Kathy holds a B.S. in industrial engineering and an M.S. in industrial/organizational psychology. She is the proud daughter of a retired Army colonel and Vietnam veteran, and she actively serves her community through the 8th Air Force Consultation Committee, Downtown Shreveport Rotary, NDIA Red River Chapter, and LA InfraGard.
Kathy will be introduced Thursday by Lion Patony Morrow, weekly program chair.
The Minden Lions Club meets Tuesdays at noon at the American Legion Memorial Home, located at 119 W. Pine St. in downtown Minden.
