First Methodist Church of Minden is inviting community members, families, businesses, and local organizations to volunteer at its annual Pumpkin Patch, which is now open for the fall season.
The church is encouraging residents to lend a hand in keeping the seasonal tradition going, emphasizing that volunteers do not have to be church members to participate. Individuals and groups can sign up for a single shift or volunteer multiple times throughout the season.
“Our Pumpkin Patch is a tradition that belongs to the whole community, and it takes plenty of helping hands to keep it going!” the church shared in a recent Facebook post.
The Pumpkin Patch opened Monday, September 28, following the arrival of a truckload of pumpkins on Sunday.
Visitors can choose from a variety of pumpkins for carving, decorating, and other fall activities. Proceeds from pumpkin sales benefit the church’s missions and outreach efforts.
The Pumpkin Patch is open Monday through Friday from 1 PM to 7 PM and Saturday and Sunday from 10 AM to 7 PM, weather permitting.
In addition to purchasing pumpkins, visitors can enjoy seasonal photo opportunities at the patch, located in front of First Methodist Church.
Those interested in volunteering can sign up through the church’s volunteer registration link or stop by the church’s front desk for more information.
The Pumpkin Patch will remain open through October 31.
