Friends, family, colleagues, and former and current patients gathered at Minden Medical Center on Friday, October 16, to celebrate the retirement of Dr. Carl Hines after 37 years of caring for patients in the Minden community.
The well-attended reception, held in the hospital cafeteria, was filled with warm greetings, hugs, and conversations as attendees shared their appreciation for the longtime physician. The turnout reflected the personal connections Hines developed with generations of patients and families throughout his career.
Hines has served the community through private practice, Hines Family Practice, Minden Primary Care, and Minden Medical Center.
“Dr. Hines has given 37 years of his life to caring for the people of this community,” said Keith Cox, CEO of Minden Medical Center. “His dedication to his patients and his commitment to the practice of medicine have made a lasting difference in the lives of countless individuals and families. We are grateful for everything he has contributed to our organization and to the Minden community.”
Hosted by Minden Physician Practices and Minden Medical Center, the reception provided an opportunity for the community to thank Hines for his years of service and wish him well in retirement.
