Bayou Dorcheat Water Level Begins to Fall

Bayou Dorcheat in Dixie Inn remains high following December rains. Thursday morning, the National Weather Service in Shreveport said the bayou was at 13.9 feet. Officials with the weather service say water should continue to fall over the next few weeks. Anything above 14 feet is considered minor flood stage, on Jan. 4, water levels were at 14.56 feet.
