The Piney Hills Master Gardeners are proud to be holding their annual Buds and Blooms gardening educational event on Saturday, Feb. 27 from 9 a.m. until noon at the First Methodist Church located at 903 Broadway St. in Minden.
This year’s Buds and Blooms will include the following speakers: Ricky Kilpatrick, Area Forester with the LSU AgCenter, discussing homeowner tree problems, Betty Fowler presenting on hydrangeas, Dr. Bill Owens, Station Coordinator with the LSU AgCenter Hill Farm Research Station, discussing research projects at the Station, Tiffany Fox presenting on winter sowing, and Wanda Rowland discussing Monarch Butterflies.
Ticket prices will be $10 per person at the door. Light breakfast snacks and a light lunch will be provided. Gardening vendors will be present along with a raffle and door prizes.
