by Minden Press-Herald

Tickets are still available for the biggest fundraiser of the year for Cultural Crossroads.

Set for 6 p.m. Saturday, tickets for Art on 80 can still be purchased for $25 each or $250 for a reserved table of eight.

They can be purchased at The Farm, at Citizens Bank’s drive through on Homer Road or from Rachel Harrington, Art on 80 chairperson, by calling 318-773-7268 or email her at [email protected]. The ticket purchase includes food, drinks and music. Valet parking will be available.

A silent auction will be from 6 until 8 p.m. with the live auction beginning at 8 p.m. One of the auction items will include George Rodrigue’s “A Number One Tiger Fan” silkscreen print.

With more than 100 items to bid on, other auction items include a Cajun fryer, donated by R&V Works, a diamond ring, donated by DC Pawn, a custom grill, donated by Hercules Ag and Outdoors, Under the Big Top birthday party donated by Cultural Crossroads and Everything Fun Rentals as well as many unique art pieces.

More items include gift cards, jewelry, cookbooks, an ice chest and fishing gear.

Harrington says refreshments will be provided by Bon Temps, Go Greenly, Hugh Wood Catering, DD Super Discount Liquor and A Piece of Heaven Cakery.

“Art on 80 is an opportunity for the people in Minden to enjoy an evening out close to home while raising funds for the children in our community,” Harrington said.

Citizens Bank is once again this year’s title sponsor.
