Geneva JohnsonHomegoing celebration services For Geneva Renee Rambo Johnson will be held Saturday, May 14, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Carter Memorial Baptist Church with Pastor Rodney E. Williams officiating. The body will lie in state from 9 until 11 a.m. at the church. Interment will follow at the Theus Cemetery.

Geneva Rambo Johnson was born Aug. 18, 1949 to the late Thomas Rambo Sr. and the late Eula B. Ashley Rambo. She was the youngest born to this parentage.

She accepted Christ at an early age and united with the Carter Memorial Baptist Church. Geneva was a 1968 graduate of Southside High School.

Geneva Rambo was united in Holy Matrimony to the late David B. Johnson.

On April 29, 2016, Geneva departed this earthly life and entered eternal rest. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, David B. Johnson; four sisters: Delsie B. Rambo, Dorothy Madden, Birdie B. Willis and Billy (Betty) Marshall; three brothers, Jessie Lee Rambo, Thomas Rambo, Jr., and Robert Rambo.

Sister Geneva Johnson leaves to cherish her memories, two brothers, Felton Rambo (Patricia) of Ringgold and Travis Rambo (Betty) of Minden; one sister, Jeanette Murphy (Curtis) of Heflin; three sons, Darnell Davis (Syrena) of Ringgold, Willie Davis (TeeTee) of Fort Worth, Texas, and David Rambo of Ringgold; one daughter, LaWana McDonald of Bossier City; seven grandchildren: Bria Williams, Dacota Davis, Jalik Davis, Javin Davis, SaMiya Williams, and Yanni Wilson; a special dear friend, Brenda Kay Taylor; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Friday, May 13 in the chapel of Kennon’s Mortuary from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. Services are entrusted to Kennon’s Mortuary. Email condolences may be sent to [email protected].
