A passenger in a vehicle stopped in Springhill was arrested on felony warrants Saturday.

Springhill Police pulled over a vehicle near R&B’s Car Wash, and when the vehicle stopped, Jywayne Dwayne Gowdy, 28, aka “John Gowdy,” of the 400 block of 6th Street NE, jumped out of the vehicle and fled on foot, according to the police report.
Following a short investigation, officers discovered Gowdy at his residence and placed him under arrest for two felony warrants, one for monetary instrument abuse and the other for forgery.
Gowdy was transported to police headquarters for booking and later transferred to Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center.
Bond was set at $15,000.
