Minden High School will conduct its fourth annual 9/11 ceremony in memory of those lost on that fateful day in 2001 on its 16th anniversary and to honor law enforcement and first responders.
At 10 a.m., the ceremony will be in the parking lot at the flagpole across from the Minden Civic Center, where students and the Junior ROTC Battalion cadets will honor first responders in Minden and Webster Parish.
“We will cover the history of 9/11, then lower the American flag to half staff,” Lt. Col. Robert Peden said. “We have invited all police departments in the parish as well as all of the fire district stations.”
Following the lowering of the flag to half-staff, law enforcement and first responders will be recognized.
