Graveside services for Beatrice Welch Harrison Young will be held Monday, January 15, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Gardens of Memory in Minden, Louisiana with the Rev. Robert Dandridge officiating. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Sunday, January 14, 2018 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden.
Beatrice was born September 24, 1924 in Deaf Smith County, Texas and entered into rest January 12, 2018 in Arcadia, Louisiana.
She was a graduate of Eastern New Mexico University with a degree in education. She taught school in an emergency war program needing teachers during World War II. She worked in the production department for Frank’s Petroleum Company for many years. Also, she was a sales clerk at Stage Department Store.
She is survived by her sons, Ronald Harrison and wife Milou; and Gary Harrison and wife Patsy; grandchildren, Sawyer Harrison, Mandy Patterson, Elizabeth Boucher, and Matt Harrison. Seven great-grandchildren; sister, Rosalee Yarbrough and many nieces and nephews.
