North Webster gets 28-6 win on the road

by Minden Press-Herald

SHREVEPORT- The North Webster Knights traveled to Shreveport Friday for a pivotal district matchup with Green Oaks.

The Knights once again got outstanding play from their defense and the offense managed to put up enough points, as North Webster won 28-6. The win improves the Knights record to 6-3 for the season.

“It was a good win, a little sloppy, but we won,” North Webster head coach John Ware told The Shreveport Times. “We did pretty well when we got rolling but we had too many mistakes, too many turnovers. Not a great night but we came out with a win.”

Green Oaks made it 21-6 in the third quarter , leading many to think a second half comeback might be in the works.
Those hopes vanished when Lyntravious Gipson finished a Knights drive off with a 12-yard touchdown to make it 28-6 late in the fourth quarter.

Devin White led the Knights with 186 yards rushing and three touchdowns. Lyntravious Gipson tallied 150 yards and the final score and Jalen Smith had a big game carrying just five times for 86 yards for North Webster.
