Minden City Marshal retires, Police Jury names interim

A special meeting of the Webster Parish Police Jury was held Monday to call for a special election for a new City Marshal. The current City Marshal, Randy Shelley, is retiring November 1. The election will be held in March. Cynthia Hawkins was appointed Chief Deputy and will assume the duties of City Marshal until the election is held.
