Celebration of Life Services for Mr. Ronnie Dixon will be held Saturday, February 23 at 1:00 P.M. at the Mt. Zion CME Church with Rev. Gwendolyn Pabon, officiating.  

Ronnie was the 11th child, born July 16, 1949 in Shreveport LA to the late Mrs. Arlesie Webb Dixon and Robert Dixon, Jr.  He confessed to Christ at an early age, uniting with Mt. Pisgah C.M.E. Church in Homer, LA.

He attended the first part of grade school at Woodson High School in Haynesville, LA and finished the rest of his education, after moving to Minden, LA, at J.L. Jones Elementary, J.A. Phillips Jr. High, and was a 1967 graduate of Webster High School.

He was drafted into the United States Military where he faithfully served, resulting in a honorable discharge.  After leaving the military, he moved to  Dallas, Texas where he was employed by G.A.F Roofing Manufacturing, D.A.R.T. Transportation and A.B.F. Freight Company where he retired.

He enjoyed his retirement days spending quality time with family and friends.

On early Sunday morning , February 10, 2019 Ronnie was called home to retire with the lord. Loved ones who proceeded him in death include: his loving parents, Arlesie Webb Dixon and Robert Dixon Jr.; five brothers- A.C., Henry L, Willie, Elroy and Sammie F. Dixon, Sr. 

Ronnie, leaves to cherish his very precious memories: his loving and devoted wife Lisa , of Dallas, Texas one son, Joaquin Dixon of Jefferson, Texas; two sisters- Bonnie Shine (his twin) of Shreveport, LA and Virginia Walker (Winfred) of Minden, LA; four brothers-Jimmie R. Dixon (Willie Ruth) of La Polma, California, Felton Dixon (Louise) of Dallas, Texas, Milton Dixon (Sabrina) of Dallas, Texas, and Bobby Lee Dixon (Mae Helen) of Minden, LA; two uncles -James Webb and Lemmon Webb of Crossett, Arkansas; one aunt, Lillie Mae Hill of Los Angeles, California;  two close friends, Vernon Gene Williams and Ralph Mims of Minden, LA. Geneva Reese who was like a sister, of Las Vegas, Nevada; and a host of dear nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be held Friday, February 22nd in the chapel of Kennon’s Mortuary from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
