Celebration of Life Services for Mrs. Maggie Lee Ward will be held Saturday, March 23rd at 12:00 P.M. at the 14th District Building  with Rev. Ray D. Jiles, officiating.  Interment will follow at the Jenkins Cemetery.

On April 19, 1937,  Maggie Lee Hodge Ward was born to Hattie Hodge and Robert Hodge.  She accepted Christ as her personal Saviour  at the Valley Springs Baptist Church.

Maggie Lee Hodge united in Holy Matrimony to Sammie Lee Ward on October 11, 1953.  To this union, two sons were born, Sammie Lee Ward, Jr. and Kenneth Wayne Ward.

On March 10, 2019, Maggie Lee Ward departed this Earthly life for Heavenly Reward at Minden Medical Center.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Sammie Lee Ward, Sr.; her parents, Hattie and Robert Hodge, Sr.; two brothers, Robert Hodge, Jr. and Mack Hodge; and one sister, Julie B. Loud;

Maggie Ward leaves to cherish her precious memories two sons, Sammie Lee Ward, Jr. and Kenneth Wayne Ward, both of Doyline; four grandchildren, Shelia  Ralynn Sinnie, Chasity Ralynn Hill, Eldrick Ward, and Tamika Renee Ward Cook (Adam); twelve great grandchildren, George A.R. Sinnie, Keona D. Sinnie, Chandra R. Sinnie, Samantha D.D. Sinnie Strickland, Antonio T. Hill, Jr., Antonie T. Hill, Eldrick Ward, Jr., Tacarrie Ward, Eterrion Ward, Tacora Ward, Alexus B. Cook, and Aalijah B. Cook; four great great grandchildren, Alexis Sinnie, Aubree Sinnie, George Sinnie, Jr., and Karter Ray Strickland; two sisters, Cornie Hodge of Phoenix, AZ and Mattie Flournoy of Minden; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Friday, March 22nd in the chapel of Kennon’s Mortuary from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
