Grace R. Christian

Grace R. Christian, 88, of Piperton, TN, formerly of Minden, LA, passed away Friday, May 3, 2019 at her home. The family will receive friends Sunday, May 5, 2019 from 3-5pm and the funeral service will be held on Monday, May 6, 2019 at 10am, all at Collierville Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens in Bartlett, TN. Born in Belize City, Belize to the late Joseph Rosado and Alice Beatrice Louise Scott, Grace was reared in Belize as a British citizen. She came to Shreveport, LA in 1950. Grace spent her working career as an administrative assistant for Texas Eastern Gas Co. and Western Electric Power Co. She was an avid gardener who helped many increase their horticultural knowledge because of her love of flowers. Grace was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Christian and her daughter, Susan Christian Loranger. She is survived by her daughters: Elizabeth Christian McGuire (Morris), of Piperton and Carol Chrstian Cordell (Bruce), of Nashville; three grandchildren: Melissa Bridgman (Gary), Matthew McGuire, and Phillip Cordell (Shannon); three great-grandchildren: Nash Bridgman, Eason Cordell, and Rilo Cordell, her siblings, Rita Hodges, and James Rosado. Memorial contributions may be made to local hospice organizations.
