Funeral services for Dixie Garner will be held Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church Doyline, Louisiana with Rev. Paul Pearson officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden, Louisiana.
Dixie was born November 9, 1938 in Chicago, Illinois and entered into rest September 15, 2019 in Doyline, Louisiana.
She is survived by her husband, Dallas Garner of Doyline, sons, Danny Garner and wife Ouida of Cotton Valley and David Garner and wife Kathy of Oil City, daughters, Melody Simpson and husband Mark of Splendora, Texas and Vicki Hale and husband Steve of Doyline, sisters, Melody Broussard of Baton Rouge, Janis Spiegel of Shreveport, Dawn Barnthson of Troy Kansas, Holly Bennett of Cotton Valley, Charlotte Scofield of Bossier, Cynthia Bargeron, Theresa Gillespie, Virginia Leonard, and Laura Leisure. Grandchildren, Bryan Garner, Anna Herrmann, Jeremy Hale, Jason Hale, Brandon Garner and Phillip Garner and fifteen great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Hale, Jason Hale, Brandon Garner, Phillip Garner, Charles Hermann, and Danny Darden.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or First Baptist Church Doyline Children’s Department.
