Four juveniles arrested following stolen vehicle stop

by Minden Press-Herald

SHREVEPORT – A traffic stop Wednesday afternoon has led to the arrest of four juveniles from Shreveport.

On October 16, 2019, shortly before 1:00 p.m., Louisiana State Police Troopers located a 2013 Mercedes passenger car, which was reported stolen from Monroe, traveling on Pines Road in Shreveport and performed a traffic stop.  As the vehicle came to a stop, all four occupants fled on foot.  Troopers were able to quickly take the juvenile driver into custody, and a perimeter was established in an attempt to locate the other three juveniles.  Through investigative measures and with the assistance of Shreveport Police Department, the three remaining juveniles were located hiding in a storage facility.  At 3:20 p.m., the three juveniles were taken into custody.

An inventory of the vehicle revealed over $1,000.00 worth of suspected stolen merchandise from a popular sporting goods store.  A thorough investigation led Troopers to discover that a Longview sporting goods branch had a grab and run theft incident earlier in the day involving a black Mercedes with four occupants.   A follow-up investigation is being conducted in conjunction with Longview PD.  All four juveniles were booked into the Shreveport Juvenile Justice Center.
