Mary “Ann” Lewis Freeman, 69, a longtime resident of Homer, LA, passed away in her home on the 31st of October 2019 surrounded by her family. She was born on the 2nd of August, 1950, in Three Creeks, AR.

“Miss Ann” was the owner and director of Freeman’s Daycare for 27 years. She cared and loved all of her many “kids.” She recently retired from David Wade Correctional Center, where she made an abundance of friends.

Ann loved to shop and show off her creativity by decorating her home for each of the holidays.  She loved to spend time with her beloved husband and family. Ann’s smile could light up the room!

She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Rolen and Alline Lewis of Three Creeks, AR.

Ann is survived by her husband of 53 years, Joe Freeman; a son, Mark (Melissa) Freeman of Haynesville; two daughters, Amy (Lonnie) Gray of Minden and April Freeman (John Pickett fiancé) of Haynesville; two brothers, Gary (Joellen) Lewis and Terry (Kathy) Lewis; five grandchildren, Nicole (Brandon) Chreene of Minden, Hilary (Paul) Cowherd of Springfield, Katie (Taylor) Folmar of Ruston, and Will Robinson of Haynesville; four great-grandchildren, McKenna and Drake Chreene, Prelsey-Jo Ellison Folmar and baby boy, Folmar on the way; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations for Bible’s in memory of Ann Freeman to the Gideon’s International.

The family would like to give a special “thanks” to all the staff at Regional Hospice in Minden for their love and excellent care of our precious mother and grandmother.

The family will be accepting friends and family for visitation Saturday, the 2nd of November from 5-7 p.m., at Rose-Neath in Homer. Her services will be held on Sunday the 3rd of November at 2:00 p.m., at Calvary Baptist Church in Homer.
