Funeral services for William Shane Howell will be held Friday, January 31, 2020 at 2 p.m. at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Minden, Louisiana with Bro. Jim Crain and Bro. Doug Gregg officiating. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory in Minden, Louisiana under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden. The family will receive friends Thursday, January 30, 2020 from 5 until 7 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home. 

Shane was born January 14, 1988 in Shreveport and entered into rest January 25, 2020 in Haughton, Louisiana. He served his country in the United States Navy. He was a member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, devoted to reading the Bible, an avid hunter, scuba diver and loved video games. 

He was preceded in death by his mother Denise Wallace Howell, grandmother Laverne Wallace, uncle Mike Wallace, aunt Janie Jones, and grandmother Edith Evelina Childers. 

He is survived by his wife Karen Howell and son Eli Andrew Howell of Haughton, father and mother William and Susan Childers Howell of Homer, grandparents, Eldon and Mary Howell of Minden, Paul Childers of Minden, and F.O. Wallace of Heflin, sister Sarah Dobbins and husband Michael of Colorado, brother Mark McCaa and wife Kelly of Florida, aunt Janice Nelson (Rusty), uncles Wain Howell (Terri), James Howell (Patti), James Childers (Kathy), nieces and nephews Olivia Dobbins, Silas Dobbins, Rosalyn Dobbins, Kaitlynn Cummings, Kendall Cummings, Colie McCaa, Keira Cummings, and Ryder McCaa, and many other family and friends. 

Pallbearers will be Caleb Howell, Bruce Benson, Jake Preaus, Justin Lewis, R.J. Spurlock, and Adam Spurlock.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Shane’s name to Minden St Jude Auction.
