Funeral services for Irene Adams will be held Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at 2 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Minden, Louisiana with Rev. Chet Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Minden. The family will receive friends at 1 p.m. Wednesday until service time.
Irene was born May 9, 1929 in Lafayette, Indiana and entered into rest February 2, 2020 in Bossier City, Louisiana. Irene was a member of Eastside Missionary Baptist Church for 43 years where she was a member of the Esther Sunday School Class. She loved reading her Bible and Mature Living Magazine and she enjoyed flowers and birds.
She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Adams and son Larry Robert Baker.
She is survived by her daughters Patricia Watson of Biloxi, Mississippi and Darlene Lum and husband Alvin of Buna, Texas, step daughters Barbara Adams Lear of Kilgore, Texas, Paulette Adams Hopkins and husband Jimmy of Minden, and Kathy Adams Hopkins and husband Rodney of Bastrop, sister Lora S. Lee of Lafayette, Indiana, special family friends Donald and Carolyn Sawyer of Minden, numerous grandchildren, great and great great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Tim Greer, Kenneth Greer, Dewayne Chapman, Phil Demaline, Bill Chelette, and Joe Sumrall.
