Hope, Faith, and Trust

by Minden Press-Herald

The famous author Dr. Seuss once said “When something bad happens you have three choices. You can either let it define you, let it destroy you, or you can let it strengthen you.” For the last two weeks, we have faced a new and very difficult situation. Our reactions to this situation have varied but one thing remains true God is in control. Throughout human history, we have been faced with numerous situations that seemed impossible. However, we have a God that doesn’t know impossible and is always working things out for our good. So I would like to encourage everyone this week to not have a spirit of fear but one of hope, faith, and trust in God and His perfect will. Let us all take this situation as an opportunity to be a light for those trapped in darkness. 2 Timothy 1:7 NLT says “For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.”
