Graveside services for  Floyd V. Stratton will be held Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at Gardens of Memory in Minden Louisiana under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden. Officiating will be Rev. Bill Crider. 

Floyd was born May 23, 1923 in Des Arc, Arkansas and entered into rest January 24, 2021 in Bossier City, Louisiana. He was a member of First Baptist Church Minden; a mason; a retired Government Safety Officer with the Department of Defense and served his country in the United States Army during WWII receiving the Purple Heart medal. Floyd has resided in Minden since 1962 and was a Baptist Minister for many years sharing God’s Word at various churches. He loved hunting, fishing, and gardening. One of his greatest pleasure was sharing his produce with others. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Christine Stratton; son, Dicky Stratton, and granddaughter, Stacey Stratton. 

He is survived by his son, Terry Stratton (Kay) of Dixie Inn and Tommy Stratton (Chedy) of Minden; daughter, Joan S. Michael (Ellis) of Haughton; grandchildren, Chris Gibson, Debbie Stratton, Josh Stratton, and Amanda Hamawi; 10 great-grandchildren, and daughter-in-law, Susan Stratton of Atwater, California. 

Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Senior Adult Ministry.
