Funeral services for J. Shane Clemons were held Thursday, August 19, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church in Minden, Louisiana with Father Biju Kuriakose officiating. Interment followed at Gardens of Memory in Minden, Louisiana under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden. The family received friends Wednesday, August 18, 2021, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. with a rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden. 

J. Shane was born December 22, 1969, in Minden, Louisiana and passed away suddenly August 15, 2021, in Minden, Louisiana. J. Shane graduated from Minden High School in 1987 and went to BPCC on an Athletic scholarship playing basketball and continued his education at Louisiana Tech University. He was employed at Benton and Brown Construction Company for over 20 years. J. Shane was an avid fisherman and hunter and loved watching his kids playing sports. J. Shane was known for his kind heart and always lending a helping hand wherever needed.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Wesley (J.W.) Clemons, Jr; grandparents, Phil and Utha Worsham and Wilmer and Allie Rachal. 

He is survived by his mother, Allie Loree Clemons of Minden; love of his life, Tracey Swilley of Minden; sons, Hunter Clemons of Bossier City and Jack Adams of Minden; daughter, Kristin Merriman (Dylan) of Bossier City and Jacey Adams of Minden; his beloved dog, Ringo; sister, Jennifer Day (Rick) and Janette Dollar (Rod) all of Minden; brother, Jeff Clemons of Minden; uncle Buddy (Marjorie) Clemons; aunt, Jean Harrell;  granddaughters, Amelia Merriman, Tensley Kate Adams, and Teagan Clare Adams; nieces, Nicole (Van) Cox, Haley (Stan) Perryman, and Pepper Dollar; nephew, Garrett (Brittany) Day; and many cousins , great nieces, nephews, and wonderful friends. 

Pallbearers will be Corby Watts, Ben Hamby, Greg Watson, Sid Haley, Jack Adams, Dylan Merriman, and Garrett Day. 

Honorary pallbearers will be Lenard Woodard, Sambo Durr, Rick Day, Steve Milam, Gary Day and Ronnie Knippers.
