Spencer Creech was presented with the SAR America 250 Bronze Award for patriotic service. For the past two years, Spencer has sent about 15 birthday cards each month with the message “Thank you for your service” to veterans in three Louisiana VA homes. This outreach activity impacts almost 200 veterans each year. He recently participated in a local walk to help raise awareness of veteran suicide rates. Jerry Madden, President of Galvez Chapter Sons of the American Revolution, presented him with a set of bronze medals and a certificate. Spencer is the son of Steve Creech and Donna Sutton of Minden. He is the grandson of Betty Sutton and the late Jerry Sutton of Gibsland, and Sharon McComas of Smithville, Missouri.
