Louisiana Tech wide receiver Smoke Harris has been named the Blenders Eyeware Conference USA Offensive Player of the Week due to his efforts during Saturday’s 22-17 win over FIU.

Harris caught a career-high 11 receptions for 155 yards and a touchdown, highlighted by a 64-yard touchdown reception during the closing minutes of the second quarter. He also extended his streak of consecutive games with at least one reception to 33, the seventh-longest active streak among all FBS players. The 155-yard performance was his third 100-yard receiving game of his career. The redshirt senior has registered a touchdown reception in each of the last six seasons. With his touchdown on Saturday, he now has 20 TD catches in his career, the ninth most in program history. With his 11 receptions, Harris increased his career reception total to 235, which ranks fifth in program history.

Harris is the first Bulldog to earn CUSA Offensive Player of the Week honors since Israel Tucker earned the distinction on Dec. 7, 2020.

Tech is back in action this weekend as the Bulldogs travel to Dallas to take on SMU on Saturday, Sept. 2, at 11 a.m. CT. The game will be televised nationally on ESPNU.
