Oktober Fall Fest promises a Bavarian-inspired celebration this Saturday

In a collaboration between Roma and Under Dawgs, Oktober Fall Fest is set to bring lively celebrations to Pearl Street this Saturday, October 21. Embracing a Bavarian Oktoberfest ambiance rather than a Halloween theme, attendees can look forward to live music, games, and an diverting costume contest.

“We’re just going to be having fun. We’re going to have some German music. We’re really going to lean into the whole German style,” said Chase Spillers.

The musical festivities will commence at 6 PM, featuring Loyd Nelson as the opening act. Following the initial performances, the costume contest will take center stage. Open to participants of all ages, event organizers kindly request respectful and considerate costumes, especially keeping the presence of children in mind. Prizes for the contest include $150 for first place, $75 for second place, and $50 for third place.

Furthermore, a 50/50 drawing will be held to raise funds for the Joe LeBlanc food pantry, with tickets priced at $5 each.

“Whoever wins at the end of the night will get half of the winnings and will get to present the check to Joe LaBlanc with Mike Sewell, owner of Roma, and Ms. Claudine Thomas,” Spillers said.

The musical merriment will resume around 8 PM and continue until the festival concludes at 10:30 PM.
