Northwest Louisiana Technical Community College (NLTCC) is pleased to announce that applications for the Powerline Worker Scholarship are now being accepted. This scholarship program aims to assist students pursuing careers in the utility industry by providing financial support for tuition and fees associated with the Powerline Worker program.

The Powerline Worker Scholarship is designed to support students enrolled in or planning to enroll in the Powerline Worker program at NLTCC. Recipients will be selected based on demonstrated financial need and their commitment to successfully completing each phase of the program.
The scholarship offers awards for each phase of the program as follows:
- Phase I: Up to $5,500
- Phase II: Up to $3,200
- Phase III: Up to $1,300
These awards are designated for tuition and fees only and cannot be used to cover tool costs associated with the program. Additionally, the scholarship is nonrefundable and must be applied as a last-in scholarship, covering the remaining balance after other forms of financial aid have been applied to the student’s account.
To be eligible for the Powerline Worker Scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:
- Enrolled in or planning to enroll in the Powerline Worker program at NLTCC
- Demonstrate financial need based on the information provided
Moreover, to continue receiving the scholarship for subsequent phases, students must successfully complete each prior phase of the program.
