High school baseball: Minden stays unbeaten; Glenbrook picks up first win

The Minden Crimson Tide remained undefeated and the Glenbrook Apaches picked to their first win Tuesday.

Minden defeated North Caddo 10-0 in five innings at Minden, and Glenbrook topped Many 11-1 in six innings at Glenbrook.

Elsewhere, Lakeside suffered its first loss, falling to defending select Division IV state champion Ouachita Christian 8-0 at home.

At Minden, Landon Brewer pitched a one-hitter with nine strikeouts and only one walk. He also had two doubles and three RBI.

Jaxon Smith also had two doubles and two RBI. Landyn Huddleston had a double and three RBI.

Bray Winston and Eli Sanders also doubled.

Minden (5-0) begins a three-game series against Lakeside (4-1) Thursday at home at 6 p.m.

At Glenbrook, Easton Sanders struck out 12, allowed four hits and walked two.

Sam Ricord went 3-for-3. Landry Powell went 3-for-5 with two RBI.

Preston Frye went 2-for-3. Ryan Reagan went 2-for-4 with two RBI.

Sanders had a double and two RBI. Hudson Glasscock had a double.

Glenbrook (1-4) plays Claiborne Christian in the Grace Christian tournament Friday at 3:30.

At Lakeside, the game was scoreless through four innings. But Ouachita Christian put five on the board in the top of the fifth.

The Warriors had five hits. Matthew Aguilera went 2-for-3.
