Richard Dale Brooks

Richard Dale Brooks of Minden, Louisiana, passed away on June 2, 2024, after a lengthy illness. He was born in Homer, Louisiana, on September 19, 1955, to Richard Talmadge Brooks and Betty Sue Elkins. Rick worked in construction and was a retired truck driver and heavy equipment operator.
Rick was preceded in death by his father, his brother Rafael Brooks, and his grandparents, Virgil and Inez Elkins, and Jewell and Lucille Brooks.
Rick is survived by his companion of 20 years, Connie Anderson; his mother, Betty Bybee, and stepfather Roger; his sister, Pam Pierce, and her husband, Alan; three nieces, Shannon Connors and her husband, Shawn, Courtney Lawshe, and Jessica Pierce Olsen and her husband, Don; grandniece Chloe Pierce and grandnephew Nathan Lawshe.
Rick enjoyed playing pool, canoeing, and riding around the countryside on his motorcycle.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, June 14, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Haughton, Louisiana.
