Minden Post Office promotes breast cancer awareness stamps to support research and honor survivors

by Amber McDown

The Minden Post Office is encouraging local residents to join its campaign to raise awareness for breast cancer by purchasing Breast Cancer Awareness stamps. The initiative, led by Postmaster Whitney Parker, is a part of a broader mission to support breast cancer research and honor those affected by the disease.

The Breast Cancer Awareness stamps are available for 85¢ each, with 12¢ from each stamp contributing directly to breast cancer awareness and research funding. Parker highlighted the campaign’s goal with the slogan, “We’re Delivering Hope.”

Expressing her personal connection to the cause, Katrina Jones said, “I wear pink in honor of my grandmother, who lost her fight with breast cancer.”

The local Coca-Cola bottling company of Minden has shown its support by providing a banner for the campaign, now displayed at the post office to encourage community participation.

The stamps are available for purchase at the Minden Post Office, with Parker and her team inviting everyone to “support the campaign” and show solidarity in the fight against breast cancer.
