Walmart disturbance leads to arrests

by Minden Press-Herald

A fight involving multiple individuals at the Walmart on December 2 resulted in four arrests after officers responded to an active disturbance at the store.

Officers arrived to find employees and bystanders pointing toward a car in the parking lot where four individuals were gathered. Upon investigation, it was determined that a confrontation began inside the store, escalating to a physical altercation.

According to the police report, 23-year-old Devonta Kimble of Homer, and a relative were approached by Rotavious Drake and Kyairah Crow, leading to a verbal argument. The dispute continued into the restroom, where Kimble sustained a minor facial injury after being struck. Security footage confirmed that Kimble, his cousin, and Drake entered the restroom, followed by several others.

The altercation later moved to the store’s main area, where a fight broke out near the exit. Crow, Natoya Lane, and a family member of Kimble engaged in a physical struggle while others attempted to intervene. Walmart employees helped separate the individuals, and no employees reported injuries.

Kimble, Lane, and two others were arrested on charges of disturbing the peace by fighting. Kimble was also found to have an active arrest warrant in Longview, Texas, and was transported to the Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center to await extradition.

The juvenile involved was released to a guardian, with further documentation to be completed. The other adults remain in custody pending bond.

All subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
